About Gary
I grew up in Canton, Ohio in the 1950s. At one point, six of us were living in a two-bedroom home.
Some of my earliest memories aren’t of meals around the kitchen table—but of my parents sitting there, trying to figure out how to make ends meet.
I can still picture my mom with a stack of envelopes in front of her—one for each bill. She would move money from one to another, doing her best to stretch what little we had. My father sat across from her, and together they would go back and forth, deciding which bills could be paid and which would have to wait.
I remember the tension in that room.
Those moments stayed with me. They shaped how I think about money, planning, and the importance of feeling secure—not just financially, but in life.

I write because I want to give back. It gives me the chance to pass along the lessons I have spent my life learning: First hand experience about what to do and what not to do when it comes to money and achievement. If I can inspire just one person, than I know I did my job as an author.
